Make-up haul

I spent yesterday in town. I bought many things but I thought I would show you what I got in the make-up department. I visited Boots and Superdrug which are both UK drugstores as well as a Primark.

My first item is Maybelline's mascara, The Falsies. I was excited to buy this product as Tanya Burr, a YouTube beauty guru, highly recommends it. It makes your lashes look longer and after around 9 hours of wearing it today, it hasn't slipped down from my eyelashes onto my face. Considering that my eyelids are quite oily, it shows its lasting power and stubbornness. With its slightly curved brush to maximise coverage, I too would recommend this product as it possesses all the right qualities in a mascara. Boots- £7.99

My second is more of a hair accessory. The ' doughnut' is designed for putting your hair into a bun and giving it more volume. I can't review this item as I haven't worn it as my hair is frustratingly just too short to wear it but I'm looking forward to wearing it in the future. I got mine from Primark but you could get one elsewhere.I chose a medium-size one in black. At only £1.00, it was very good value. Primark- £1.00

Next is Nivea's tinted moisturising day cream. I wanted to buy one because, as a teenager, I decided that my skin is as good as it is ever going to be and I shouldn't waste it. This means that I don't own a foundation ( but I do have a concealer). But I bought the tinted moisturiser as it gives a lighter coverage while also moisturising my skin. After a while, it adopts a slight orange-fake tanned colour but nothing too noticeable. After 9 hours, it has now started to wear off. I am still impressed with it  and I think it would be good for those who are slightly self-conscious about their skin but don't want to invest in a foundation. It is also a lot cheaper than one too. Superdrug- £1.79

Sticking with a Nivea theme, my next item is Nivea's lip butters. Another YouTube guru, missglamorazzi, recommended this. My one is caramel cream. It only has a slight scent or flavour on your lips but in the pot it smells amazing! I was slightly surprised that it has a creamy texture in the pot which I think is an interesting but good characteristic. This was also cheap which makes it even more worth buying. It lasts for a while on your lips but doesn't feel like it is just sitting there doing nothing. These lip butters have recently been introduced to America. Superdrug- £1.49

Lastly but definitely not least is my NYC Applelicious glossy lip balm. Like the tinted moisturiser, I wanted to get a product that did good while also looking great on my face. But, before I start praising it, I'm not sure at exactly how much of a good lip balm it is. I was stunned and how pigmented the colour is. It could easily be a lipstick! I picked it up in the colour 'Blushing Golden' which I think is slightly too light for me but the next time I go into town, I will definitely pick up another one. They don't have a massive colour range which I personally think that they could work on and expand. Again, it was cheap and cheerful and definitely worth investing in. Superdrug- £2.49

Overall, I think my trip was a great success. I hope you found this post useful and would think about buying these products yourself.
